Re: Cluny simmer plate

Hi Anne! I am sensitive to chemicals, so the old tried and true works: steam. When the plate is still warm, take a damp cotton cloth and wipe off the residue. Do this when hot enough to form steam but cool enough to be safe. Avoid any synthetic materials that may melt or burn. Good luck!

Looking for a Nice Used 74" Canopy?

http://www.seconduse.com/item/303729 As seen in Seattle....Am always looking for a bargain - must be those New England roots. This canopy seems to have some heat discoloration but my guess is that it cost somebody several $1000s. Advise that you get better pics prior to purchase and check with a met...

Re: Cormatin

Perhaps the Cormatin folk like myself are too busy traveling to sign onto the forum. I find mine to be like the Fiat 500 I rented in Itay for zipping through the Dolomites. Traded in the big French car after leaving Chamonix. Point is, I and my friend both had the biggest grins in the tiniest car. G...

Re: Our Kitchen in Sarasota, Florida

Hi Cathy...that's great news! I am in Burgundy today, visiting the Lacanche factory. We just sautéed fresh market veggies on the traditional plate to help my team some of the finer points. BTW, you can use the power of the large burner without heating up the plate by cooking on top of the wok adapte...

Re: Our Kitchen in Sarasota, Florida

Nice work, Cathy! Lacanche is perhaps the culinary worlds greatest secret, something many of us are helping to remedy. Every "discovery" story seems both unique and fascinating. Mine came at a Cologne, Germany trade show after searching four days for this elusive appliance. My new three burner farmh...
